The Zoo

We went to the Detroit Zoo today, it was cool if you were in the shade but nice in the sun! The kids are excited, especially to walk with the Kangaroos! Its a new exhibit where you actually walk THROUGH the Kangaroos on alittle path. There is nothing in between you and them! Pretty cool huh?
Here are some pictures to enjoy!
This is how close we were. You could touch them (you cant, but I mean that's how close you are.

This is a baby on the left who lost her mother to cancer. The mother was 10 years old and this baby has just been adopted by its Aunt or cousin whoever that one is in front of her.

This next picture is our traditional zoo picture we take every time we are there!

Thanks for looking!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I received this award from Lynn over at The Queens Scene a bit ago and haven't had time to post it! Sorry Lynn! Thanks so much for giving me this award!!!I appreciate your sweet comments, blog help and your friendship!!
As I have seen this award all over I am passing it on to anyone on my blog roll! You all have wonderful blogs and I love visiting daily!(when I can)

As you may know I am battling migraines with no luck on getting rid of them, or even controlling them. I am under a doctors care but she is trying different medications, which are not working right now. When I get a migraine all I want to do is rip my head off! But what I have to do is take my meds (which aren't working) lay down in a dark quiet room (hard to do with 4 kids) and sleep. It is very frustrating for me right now as I have been having these excessive migraines (3 a week) for a year now.
So what does this mean for my blog? This is why the posts have been sparse. I hope you stick it out and check back or subscribe to my blog and you will get emails letting you know when I post!

Thank you and Enjoy!

A broken hand wont stop her!

You may remember that my daughter broke her hand last week, but let me tell you it hasn't slowed her down at all. She has been jumping around like a wild banshee. I caught her while at my in laws trying to jump into the family room from the third step. Needless to say she did get hurt, bumped her nose, but its not serious. So I decided to share a picture or two of her.

I think this is the only time she has actually sat down besides the time she was riding in the car! Oh, well have a great day and I will be back tomorrow to share the pages I promised!!

Enjoy

OMG what a day!!!

Its been extremely stressful today for me as I am dealing with a hurt child!
As we were getting in the car to go to school this morning, my 8 year old slammed my 3 year olds hand in the car door accidentally! Well needless to say after at least a hour at the doctors office, alot of crying, a sticky hand from a sucker, and a pretty purple ace bandage my three year old has a broken hand! She is in some pain and has to see a orthopedic surgeon next week to see if she needs a full cast. I think she will be better off since she always wants to take this off, and I think she will end up taking it off in her bed! We will see!

I am truely blessed!

Who Am I???

I found this in the book Chicken Soup for the Scrapbookers Soul and thought I would share it with all of you!

I am special, unique and priceless. I make people smile, laugh, cry and remember. I am quiet, yet speak volumes. I am a work of art and a labor of love. I'm like a member of the family because I share every birthday, holiday, reunion, accomplishment and disappointment. I also share everyday moments and remember secrets you forgot you shared. I am simple, beautiful and ornate. I'll speak for you when you no longer speak. I'll share who you are and what you did with generations to come, just as I introduce you to your ancestors.
I've taught you art when you thought yourself inept. I taught you creativity when you thought yourself unimaginative. You have gained confidence through me. You have made friends because of me. You have spent countless hours remembering your family and friends, to share them with me in just the right way.
You have changed since our relationship began. You have become more introspective. You have learned to live in the moment. You appreciate your blessings and accept your trials, knowing they all contribute to who you are. You think of me at unlikely moments, roll your eyes and laugh at yourself, knowing it will happen again. You've poured your heart out to me when you weren't ready to share with anyone else. And I've held your secrets until you were ready to share. You give me your treasures and keepsakes, and I give you a glimpse of who you are like no mirror ever could. Our friendship is endless.

(WHO AM I??)
I am your scrapbook!!

Here are my 10 things about myself!
1. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to live on a farm. My aunt had a farm(horses mostly)and I loved visiting. Now as I grow older and have looked at alot of houses, I have come to the conclusion I want an old farm house to remodel. One with a wrap around porch and a swing!
2. I like tv, especially reality tv. But I also love reruns. Nick at night is usually on in my bedroom all night because I cant sleep without noise.
3. I would love to someday own my own hair salon and have my family (SIL and niece) work with me. They are the only people I know that have a hair license.
4. We went to disney in 2000 with my (now) two oldest. Heather was 4 and Kim was 9 months. It was the best trip to see it thru Heathers eyes. Since I have been there many, many times as a kid because my aunt lived close to Disney world.
5. I would love for my family (my parents and siblings) to have a better relationship before something tragic happens and they regret it.
6. I hope my daughter nevers says she hates me. But I know at some point she will. I dread the day.
7. I would love to skydive just once in my life and drive in a nascar race. LOL
8. Will I ever not be sleep deprived. Now that my kids are getting older and I am not up as much at night, I now have insomnia most nights. Or I can fall asleep but dont stay asleep.
9. I would love a newer car but dont have the funds and with gas prices climbing I dont see one in the near future.
10. I will be 36 in July, but still feel like I am in my 20's. Not in the sense of my body( cause lord knows I have a ton of aches and pains that I NEVER had before) but in the sense that in my mind I just dont think I am 35. I remember when I was young in your 30's was somewhat old. HAHAHAH
Thanks for listening. I hope you learned alittle about me.
I am just tagging whoever is reading this and wants to play along.
Since everyone has done this I am sure.
I must say it only took my 30 minutes to reflect and type out my answers!LOL
Enjoy

FYI

I was tagged by Chrissy to name 10 things you might not know about me. I haven't forgotten just trying to come up with some juicy stuff to share!LOL
Since I have been tagged so many times before I want the info to be new to you all.

Lots of gifts and a Happy Mothers Day!!

First I have to say a BIG Happy Mothers Day to all my blogger buddies!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend with their families!
Enjoy the time you have with them because life is too short!

As my kids came home after school today they were very excited and couldn't wait to give me their Mothers Day gifts they made. My son gave me a beautiful bracelet he made in class.

My daughter made me a wonderful book about what she likes about me. All written and illustrated by Kimberly. This is so COOL!

She also gave me a scrapbook that she made in Brownies. She added a few pictures but we have set some time aside soon to finish the scrapbook together.

Now on to my wonderful, generous Bella Sistah, Carol.
I was very surprised when the doorbell rang this morning. I was thinking, "hmmmm, UPS, I hadn't ordered anything (lately, that is), What could this package be."
It was from Carol. She is the bestest Bella sistah a girl could have.
Thank you so much Carol.

Here is what she sent me: Stampin Up glitter, sticky cut letters, rhinestone brads, doodlebug brads, ribbon, 2 bottles of stickles, a handmade chocolate book, jumbo dog brads, a decorated tin and bucket with a stapler, more ribbon, decorative do dads,a note pad and a book mark, a decorated frappachino bottle with candies in it, and stamped Bella images, and last but not least, Say cheeseabella and two sayings!

WHEW!!!!You are the best Carol. Thanks Again!
Hugz to all
Enjoy.

No Stamping Today

There was no stamping in my house today.
I have been having horrible migraines (I have always had them every once in a while) but have become more frequent lately.
So it has been an uneventful, somewhat quiet day.
My migraines come on all of a sudden and last for hours sometimes days.
I am light sensitive, sometimes lose my vision, hate noise, love for my son (whose 60lbs) to sit on my head to relieve the pressure, sensitive to smells and sometimes nausea sets in. So as you can see theres no way alot gets done on these days, except kids stuff and dinner.
I do have something to share with you all.
I was surprised by my dad with a gift he made for me today.

As most of you know (maybe you don't) I am a huge Nascar fan and an even bigger Jeff Gordon fan. My Dad attends some races throughout the year and now that he is retired I think he will being making it to more. So anyway, he got this tire(an actual racing tire) from Lowe's Motor Speedway in North Carolina, brought it home and made me a table for my deck! Of course it had to have Jeff Gordon's name on it. And as far as I am concerned its Jeff's tire!LOL

Thanks for looking and sticking around to listen to me ramble!
And thanks to my dad for thinking of me and making this for me!
I love you Dad!

Wonderful Weekend!!!!LOL

Since I don't have anything to show you today because of my weekend woes I thought I would post this about my favorite color!

What Your Favorite Color Red Says About You:

Ambitious --- Energetic --- Passionate

Spontaneous --- Attractive --- Inspiring

Seductive --- Powerful --- Addicting

I will tell you I have been on the bad luck train lately and I just can't seem to shake it. Saturday we had a funeral to attend and it was gonna be an afternoon service, Andy had to help with some homework so he decided to stay home with the kids. I picked up my mom and drove to Dearborn to the funeral home and then to Stefans banquet hall for lunch on Warren and Telegraph. Now remember that name because this is where the story takes a turn!!LOL
We had lunch and then went to visit my aunts house because she lived nearby. Remember the story of me going to her farmhouse when I was a kid. This is the aunt we were visiting. So Sunday comes and I was kinda lazy and had an upset stomach.
Well I actually thought it must be that time of the month again and took some medicine and went to bed with an somewhat empty stomach. Until 2:30 in the morning when I found myself becoming strangely intimate with the toilet. I must say it was absolutely miserable!! So most of the day I new all the grooves of the bathroom floor, since I spent most of Monday in there til I couldn't take anymore. Suddenly as Andy was picking up the kids and setting up someone to watch them so we could head to the ER, the phone rang. It was my aunt in Romulus who informed us that 27 of us that had attended the luncheon were sick. Coincidence, I don't think so. We narrowed it down to the ranch dressing at the luncheon must have been bad. My uncle and one aunt didn't have salad and were fine. After spending 3 hours sitting in a wheelchair I finally saw a doctor and got some relief from fluids and medication. I spent Monday night in the hospital under observation and after resting yesterday when I got home, I am doing much better! I must say food does scare me though. The stomach cramps were worse then labor pains!LOL

So I am hoping tomorrow to actually post something fun! I have found alot of scrapbooking sketch blogs (which you can find on the left hand side of my blog)
and am hoping to have a page to show you!
Hope everyone had a better weekend then me!
Enjoy!
Until tomorrow!!

Clothes Pins

I saw this cool idea over at Renee's blog. I had a couple clothespins and decided to try it!!
I think it turned out pretty good, I will let you know what everyone thinks after my stamp camp!
I will use it to display the cards we make!

OK, first off I must say the dog was not hurt on Sunday. I am receiving alot of HATE mail and don't appreciate being judged. I didn't say I BEAT the dog, I smacked her once and in turn hurt my hand on the doorway trying to hit her again. Ginger is fine and has been hurt more by the kids pulling her tail, or accidentally stepping on her!

For those who have asked about my hand, luckily nothing is broken. Just swollen and sore! I too will be OK, thanks for asking!
