Mingle cards

OK so we had a Michigan Mingle in Novi where 50 stampin ladies get toegther once a year and stamp the weekend away! This was the fourth year, although I have only attended the last 3 years! The Michigan ladies I met online about 3 years ago are GREAT and I chat EVERYDAY with them on SCS! I love that I met them and get to know them more everyday by chatting online!
Although I get some looks when I tell people I met my "online" friends to stamp, like stampers could be serial killers!LOL But I love my friends in my computer to bits!!!
Here are some of us at lunch!

Anyway I got into the Stampin' Up only swap and thought I would share my swap with you today!

Do you like it?

While at the mingle we had some drop in guests from the Deadlist Catch! How cool is this? Mike Fourtner from the Time Bandit and Travis Lofland from the Wizard were the nicest guys! AND Mike even posted to his FB fan page that he met the Michigan Mingle Stampers!

Kids treats for the Christmas Party at school!

With 3 kids in elementary I have alot of treats to make!
30 per kids class=90 total! WOW
So I found these 1 in. x 8 in. bags that I saw at a mingler event I attended!
I am loving them! But had to find some creative choices to put inside since a few of my kids classes has peanut allergies!
So for my daughter in kindergarten I put plain M&Ms in!

My sons class treats I put twizzlers in (but wanted to use dipped pretzels but they wouldn't fit once dipped)! For his treats I didn't add the ribbon!

And then I wanted pixie sticks for my other daughters class, but settled on twizzlers too since I had a hard time finding enough pixie sticks!

I hope you enjoyed visiting me and as always thanks for stopping by!

Saturday Fun

Today I will be at an all day crop with my good friend Linda over at the Little Scrapbox! The store has been around for a little over a year, bu just recently turned into a discount scrapbook store! Everything in the store is 30% everyday!!So if you live close by you should check it out! And she has new stuff scheduled to come in very soon!
So since I will be gonna all day I will show you another card I made when I was with my friends! Hopefully I will be getting some great pages done today to show you next week! I also hope to get some swaps finished for the SCS Mini Mingle next weekend in Lansing!!I cant wait to meet all my new SCS Michigan friends!

Enjoy

Its almost Christmas time again!!

I just received my pre-order from the Holiday Mini today, and couldn't wait to play with my new sets! So I decided to make a Christmas card with Home For Christmas! I love this set and am so happy I decided to get it!

I used my blender pen and my SU inks to color the image. Then I added Liquid Applique to the tree and the ground so it looked like real snow! I tore the right side of the image and matted it in Riding Hood Red card stock. The base of my card is Chocolate chip with a layer of Old olive that was stamped with the Canvas Background stamp. I wanted to use the saying that comes with the set and couldn't decide how I wanted it, so I did something kind of different. I stamped the saying on white card stock then cut it with my designer label punch. I then stamped the saying again and used my 3/4" circle punch to punch out the "Wish" part of the saying. I matted the designer label punch saying on a riding hood red circle and a chocolate chip scallop circle punch. Then I took the 3/4" circle and matted on a riding hood red 1" circle! I taped some chocolate chip ribbon flat on the old olive piece and tied the NEW Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon on top of that with a bow!
Enjoy

SC192, and a New Bella Card

Today was an eventful day for me. I got all my scrapping stuff unpacked and put away, and my scrap room cleaned! Isn't it a wonderful feeling to have everything where it goes??! So once that was done I got to play and mess my table up again!HAHAHA

So here is my submission for the SCS sketch challenge 192! I had alot of fun with this sketch because I got to use my new SU stamps that came yesterday from the UPS man!!

For this card I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set with the Washington apple dp! I love both of these new things!!! The colors I used are pumpkin pie, so saffron, bashful blue and, riding hood red. I must say these colors go great together! I roughed all the edges, added a photo corner with brads to the image, and used the canvas bg stamp on the so saffron piece.

The next card I made is a Bella card! I haven't worked on a Bella in a long while just because I have been concentrating on SU and the new catty!

I got this stamp from Lynn for my birthday and decided to make a card for a friend of mine. We have been kinda on different schedules and I have been being a bad friend. So I thought I would send this cute card to her and re-connect.
I have another card to show you tomorrow of Kristina's color challenge.
Check back in the morning for that card as I am still finishing it up!
Enjoy

WOW!! Three Days

I am very excited today as I pack up my scrap booking stuff for my much needed weekend away with the girls.
A few of us are going to the Creme of the Crop in Fenton, Mich.
Some of us have been there before and say it is absolutely awesome.
I have not been there yet but looking quite forward to getting away from the everyday grind, relaxing, scrapbooking and having fun with friends!
And lets not forget EATING! The lady that runs the bed and breakfast is like a gourmet cook and uses alot of healthy, fresh ingredients. Doesn't matter what I am eating at this point as long as I don't have to cook!!LOL
We will miss our good friend Lynn, who cant make it along this time.
I have a few ideas of what I am gonna work on but I have probably over packed.
I need to make my son's TEAM chipboard book with all his T-ball pictures!
I just received 215 photos in the mail from Kodak!
So I think I will be able to keep myself busy!

While I was down there packing, I was creating also!
Here is the first card I made is a "Wish You Were Here" card.
It is a very bright colored summery card!

Supplies-Riley stamped image, Its beautiful wheel, tempting turquoise cs and ink,, green galore cs, real red cs, whisper white cs, photo corner punch, rhinestones, real red ribbon, tempting turquoise ribbon, wish you were here saying from MFT, prisma colored pencils and gamosol, revolution dots embossing folder.

I love these Riley stamps but don't have any of my own.
I got this image from the Wish RAK group I belong, too!
Isn't he cute!

The next card I made is from the promotion from SU.
Its a preview from the new catalog that comes out in August.
You may purchase this stamp set in June, you can order it now if you are a demo.
I used the note cards that I ordered to coordinate with the stamp set but cut it down and layered it to fit nicely on a 5x5 card.

Supplies- Fresh cuts stamp set, Old olive cs and ink, more mustard cs, elegant eggplant cs and ink, black ink, white cs, sponge, always artichoke ribbon, old olive ribbon, pop dots, dazzling diamonds, rhinestone brad.
I am off to do some more work for my sons teacher!
Have a great day
Enjoy

Today is another day!

I didn't get very much accomplished today, and I really don't have a reason.LOL
I had 10 swaps to make for a stampin up meeting I am attending tomorrow!

I am going with my friend Lynn to our upline meeting, for some inspiration and creativity.
This will be my first meeting being a demo, so I am very excited!
Here are the swaps I made- we had to make something 3-d.
So I decided to make these cute post it note key chains.
Hope they all like them!

I am off to bed early to hopefully have a good nights sleep so I don't get but another migraine.
I seriously think it has to do with the horrible way I eat and how I don't get enough sleep.
Enjoy!

Supplies-chocolate chip cs, taffeta ribbon and ink, regal rose cs and ribbon, pretty in pink cs, pretty in pink dp, white pen, paper piercer, scallop punch, circle punches, post it notes and key rings

SC169 and a treat basket

I finally did a sketch challenge on the day it was posted!
I am very proud of myself.
I make alot of things but I have never kept to a schedule and did things when I thought I should! Does that make sense?
I used the tart and tangy set and the scalloped set from saleabration!
I love how it turned out! I also used the summer picnic DP, and real red card stock!
I LOVE SU's designer paper! I used dazzling diamonds and crystal effects, too.

The next thing I made was the basket from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts Blog. You can find her tutorial here!
I again used the tart and tangy set, summer picnic DP, real red card stock and a retired wheel!

As always if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask!!
Enjoy!

To Have and To Hold

I had to stamp some of these images for someone on SCS, so I decided to stamp a card with them while I had them out! Surprisingly we don't have a wedding in the Schulte family this year! Just the first great-grandchild is do in July. That will be exciting!!
I used the to have and to hold stamp set. Cameo coral, blush blossom, whisper white, and basic grey card stock! I stamped the swirl stamp with cameo coral on the blush blossom piece of CS. I used the circle punches, the word window punch, my new scallop circle punch from SU!!!! I paper pierced the edge of the white and the scallop circle. I also sponged cameo coral on the blush blossom CS!
Enjoy!
Until tomorrow!!

Clothes Pins

I saw this cool idea over at Renee's blog. I had a couple clothespins and decided to try it!!
I think it turned out pretty good, I will let you know what everyone thinks after my stamp camp!
I will use it to display the cards we make!

OK, first off I must say the dog was not hurt on Sunday. I am receiving alot of HATE mail and don't appreciate being judged. I didn't say I BEAT the dog, I smacked her once and in turn hurt my hand on the doorway trying to hit her again. Ginger is fine and has been hurt more by the kids pulling her tail, or accidentally stepping on her!

For those who have asked about my hand, luckily nothing is broken. Just swollen and sore! I too will be OK, thanks for asking!

Stampin Up!!!!!

This week is gonna be busy getting ready for my stamp camp next week!
Plus the kids are on Spring Break!

I have my 4 projects made and cut up for who has RSVP'ed to me already!
Now I am having a few more then usual so I am trying to revamp the basement, with no success!! :(
Oh well I will figure it out!!No worries!

So I just put a couple things together with the limited time I had today.
I still have to do my Easter shopping, color eggs, bake cookies, blah, blah, blah!
LOL.
First I decorated a paint can I got at Archivers to put my sponges in for my stamp camp! I used the summer picnic DP, and the tart and tangy stamp set!

The next thing I did was make some flower pens! I found the white pail from one of my LSS and had a hard time figuring out how to cover it because it is tapered!
So I thought, why not use some of Stampin Up's rub-ons from the Saleabration catty??!!!
I think it turned out adorable!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and a Blessed Easter Holiday!!!
Enjoy!!

WAHOO!!!I love the UPS man!!

OK, no I am not leaving Andy for the UPS man!!LOL!!!
I got my SU ORDER today!
I am so excited but have NO time to play.
Tonight I was making cupcakes and a cake for my daughters birthday celebration dinner!
Yep you heard it right, My DAUGHTERS' birthday celebration.
Two daughters, Ella who will be 3 on the 18th and Heather who turned 12 on the 12th. No big party this year, people are just too busy because of Easter and all!
So I kinda stole my SIL's idea of having the godparents and grandparents over for dinner!
So needless to say it will be an even busier day tomorrow then it was today!

I am so loving the sets from the salebration and the spring mini, just because they pop right out of the rubber and you mount them easy peasy!
I did get some down time today and have mounted ALL my stamps!
Now I just need to find some time to create something cute!!!
Maybe I can stop the clocks somehow and find some extra time for me!LOL
Enjoy!

** to all my SU customers I will be calling you to see when is a good time to drop off your orders!!!Thanks in advance!

Back to the everyday grind!

We have officially gotten word that my hubby is finally going back to work!!!!!

Although for anyone out there in the car industry you know we can not take it for granted and really need to stay on a low spending spree!
You can't count on anything anymore.
My hubby has been "laid off" for 13 months.
And since we have been pinching our pennies for quite awhile we are getting used living without some things!!

Anyhow I was busy, busy in my new scrap studio today because of all the problems with the race!
I made two more things for my display board! The first one is a scrapbook page!
I made it a boy layout with the bundled in love stamp set!
The second thing was a criss cross card, which I am still not so sure about!
I liked the colors I picked but not sure about what I did with them!
I used the big flowers stamp set!
I received it in my starter kit and am loving it!!
