The Zoo

We went to the Detroit Zoo today, it was cool if you were in the shade but nice in the sun! The kids are excited, especially to walk with the Kangaroos! Its a new exhibit where you actually walk THROUGH the Kangaroos on alittle path. There is nothing in between you and them! Pretty cool huh?
Here are some pictures to enjoy!
This is how close we were. You could touch them (you cant, but I mean that's how close you are.

This is a baby on the left who lost her mother to cancer. The mother was 10 years old and this baby has just been adopted by its Aunt or cousin whoever that one is in front of her.

This next picture is our traditional zoo picture we take every time we are there!

Thanks for looking!

A broken hand wont stop her!

You may remember that my daughter broke her hand last week, but let me tell you it hasn't slowed her down at all. She has been jumping around like a wild banshee. I caught her while at my in laws trying to jump into the family room from the third step. Needless to say she did get hurt, bumped her nose, but its not serious. So I decided to share a picture or two of her.

I think this is the only time she has actually sat down besides the time she was riding in the car! Oh, well have a great day and I will be back tomorrow to share the pages I promised!!

Enjoy

OMG what a day!!!

Its been extremely stressful today for me as I am dealing with a hurt child!
As we were getting in the car to go to school this morning, my 8 year old slammed my 3 year olds hand in the car door accidentally! Well needless to say after at least a hour at the doctors office, alot of crying, a sticky hand from a sucker, and a pretty purple ace bandage my three year old has a broken hand! She is in some pain and has to see a orthopedic surgeon next week to see if she needs a full cast. I think she will be better off since she always wants to take this off, and I think she will end up taking it off in her bed! We will see!

Hello ALL

I have been missing my daily posts because there is alot going on. My kids have school until Wednesday of next week and then they will be out for the SUMMER. I have been busy helping out at school binding scrapbooks, going on field trips(bowling), having picnics(at school), blowing up the wade pool(45 minutes later, WHEW), washing laundry(which is everyday).........UGH!
These are my excuses, I hope they are good enough!LOL

I am attending the Little Scrapbox crop tomorrow, but am gonna be late because my son has t-ball, and my daughter has a brownie meeting movie day. But I will be happy once I get there and get some projects finished. I have quite a few swaps I need to get done from SCS. They are all due July 1st and I already feel like I am cutting it close! But they are fun and I don't have to mass produce a whole lot.

Then Sunday is my hubby's birthday. He's turning 39 and not looking forward to it.
I think I am going to let him sleep in most of the day. While he's sleeping I will take the kids to pick up some last minute presents. Then I have to swing by the grocery store and pick up a huge steak, potatoes(to bake on the grill) and some veggies for a salad! I want to make him feel like he is a king for the day. He does alot of stuff around the house, helps me whenever he can, works hard everyday, and makes me feel special EVERYDAY! I want him to know how special he is to us. And then we get to do it all over again next weekend for Father's Day!

So here are two pages I worked on at my retreat. Which I must say I find myself looking back in my mind about that wonderful weekend, especially when I am having a bad day!LOL
These pages are from our trip to Great Wolf Lodge in February.

The first one is of the clock tower show that they had in the lobby at night. It was very cute and the kids loved it to relax before bed. The whole lobby is animated and comes to life, sings and dances and includes the audience in participation!

This page is made with pictures that we took in our room. It was very "cabiny" looking. With snow shoes hanging on the wall and moose lamps on the end tables.
If you have any questions about the recipe for my pages just shoot me an email.
Enjoy
Its getting late!

Drum roll, please!

My shelves are up and I am so excited!!!! I didn't have the heart to tell my hubby that I wanted three! LOL Oh well, down the line they can be moved and I can add another!! I don't think I have ever had SO much room on my table before!
I love them and he will get an extra special dinner tonight!LOL
Now mind you that is not ALL my stamps on the top shelf. I need to finish hauling it down 2 flights of stairs! But all those stamps that are there are current SU stamp sets. I have two huge boxes of retired stuff I have to go through and price.
It is very hard to go from a customer for 3 years to a demo and not feel somewhat attached to those sets that have since retired!! Crazy I know! But I have learned as a demo you cant keep every set you like.
Well I am off to hopefully create something, and finish cutting up the kits for Stamp Camp!
Enjoy

WOW! What a nice Weekend!

We had a nice relaxing Saturday with just a few people over for my two daughters birthdays!! Such a change from the crazy, busy, loud parties we usually have! Not that I don't enjoy have a party its just bad timing for a big party with Easter next week. So I invited godparents and grandparents and had a nice cozy meal!
So here are two pics of my daughters at their birthday celebration!

This is Heather who turned 12 on the 12th!

This is Ella who turns 3 on Tuesday!

Now on to a Bella card!
Another image I received from the swap I entered!
I don't like how it turned out, the coloring I mean!
It just wasn't a good paper to be coloring on.
I love SU's whisper white for colored pencils and gamosol.

So tomorrow I get back on the SU train and start creating some new samples from all the goodies I got when my order came in.
Also I have a camp coming up on Friday March 28th.
So if you have received an email from me and wish to attend please give me a call so I can be prepared!
Thanks so much to all the people that visit my blog and leave comments!
They are an inspiration and well appreciated!
Thank you to all my family and friends that have supported me in my new business venture.
I can not wait to help you find your creative side! LOL
Enjoy!!!

Graduation Bella

I am working on filling my many boxes of cards that I have for sale. I know alot of my customers want cards and want them early. So I am working on graduation cards.

I love the graduating Bella. Now I think the only thing left to do is find out some local schools and there colors and make up some cards.

The kids finally go back to school tomorrow. It seems like forever since they have been in school. I am unhappy to see them go back, I guess just because we are on a very "loose" schedule when they have a break from school. I really don't look forward to the early cold mornings ,either!!

I hope everyone in a cold state is staying warm. It isn't very cold here in Michigan but we still have some of our snow, which we got a week ago, and since the rain came over the weekend it feels kinda balmy. LOL

It has been a lazy day here. The kids have been watching some of their new movies today and I am still in my PJ's, so I am gonna say goodbye, take a shower, get back in my jammies and maybe if I am lucky once the kids got to bed create a card or two.
Hope you enjoyed my ramblings today! Thanks for listening!

Supplies: *card is 5&1/2 by 11.

Happy Holidays

It is so nice to be able to relax and stay home!!I didn't even get out of my jammies today, it was great!I thought I would share a few photos of us on Christmas eve, since I haven't even cleaned up my messy scrap table yet. I have been too busy playing with my new present from my hubby! He is way to good to me, he bought me a laptop so we can both be on the computer at the same time and don't have to wait on one another anymore. There should be no more excuses about why I am not posting, right? LOL. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and on their way to a happy new year!! Enjoy your time with your families because as we know life is short. Stop and smell the roses a bit!! LOL Enjoy.

Blog Candy

I finally got my Christmas cards out today, and this is the picture I sent with them. It is a picture of our kids from Thanksgiving Day. Aren't they cute? Heather is 11, Kimberly is 8, Drew (jr) is 6 and Ella is 2!! I can't wait to see their faces on Christmas morning!! I still have alot to do for the holidays but noticed that I got 3000 hits on my blog (WOO HOO) so please stop by next week for some wonderful Blog Candy!!!Hope all is well with everyone. I need to get back to some projects I started and will be posting them on my blog!!!Enjoy!!

It's starting to feel like Christmas.....

We are having Christmas Eve at our house this year for my husbands family. If you don't know already my hubby's family is HUGE. He is one of 14 kids, which are all married and have kids of their own. And we just recently found out that one of his nephews (who is also married) is expecting their first child in July. My in law's will be great grandparents, how exciting!!!! So needless to say there will be alot of cleaning, decorating, baking and wrapping of presents alot earlier then usual in our house. I love to bake and I was trying to find some different kind of cookies to make besides the "same oldies" but goodies. So when I was at the store picking up some odds and ends, I found a magazine Holiday Cookies by Land O Lakes Butter. So today a tried a couple recipes out on my family to see if they would be good to make for Christmas. Any way I think they both made the cut onto the Schultes Christmas Cookie Platter!!! The ones that look like chips are Chocolate Dipped Citrus Ribbons made with my grandmothers cookie press which is probably older then I am. The round ones are Strawberry Rhubarb Shortbread thumbprints. If anyone is looking for the magazine you can find it here.Or Email me and I can get a copy to you. They are alittle lengthy to put on my blog. Enjoy!!

I really have a thing for the scrapbook pages lately

I am behind on my daughter Ella's scrapbook. She will be 3 in March and I am just now doing her first birthday pages. We didn't have a big first birthday party for her, because I had just gotten out of the hospital after having a miscarriage. These pages were really fun to do though. Ella is a very sassy child and is also very expressive, as you can see from her cute and silly faces that she has made in these pictures. Enjoy!!!

I LOVE SCRAPBOOKING

These two pages were thrown together the last couple hours of the crop I went to on Saturday. They are very easy and simple pages but I am happy I got the pictures on pages and ready to put into their scrapbooks. The first page was a picture of me and my son, and it was the only picture that I had. I liked how it turned out. The second page was one day when we just decided on the spur of the moment to go to the zoo, and when we got there we realized they were gonna close in alittle over an hour. So we just hit a couple places and snapped some pics. The kids enjoyed the day and thats all that matters!! Have a GREAT tuesday. Enjoy!

Its Finally Fall

We finally got to get out to the cider mill and pumpkin picking this past weekend!!It was a beautiful day and everyone and his brother had the same idea. Everywhere we went was packed full of people and their families. The kids always have such a great time picking out our pumpkins. Soon we will have to grow our own pumpkins because every child has to have their own pumpkin. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Enjoy

I feel so stressed!!

It has been a crazy couple of days and I have been lost in life instead of lost in my favorite hobby. I still haven't felt up to par lately, and as soon as I felt well enough to spend some family time on Sunday to go to the cider mill, Kimberly, who is 7 fell off her bike. Well like most mothers when I heard her screaming I thought ( and how bad am I)She is over reacting, it cant possibly be that bad. Usually when kids see blood they freak out, well she had every reason to freak. Her knee is so ripped up, not to mention her face. I am not to sure how or what happened, because its very hard to get details from a crying 7 year old when shes seen blood. Andy got her all cleaned up and need less to say she looks like she was in a fight. She cracked her lip and mouth on the ground and we are very lucky to still have her permanent tooth intact. She has a huge laceration in her gum and a very swollen lip. So we stayed home so we could nurse Kimberly back to a somewhat better condition.
She is feeling better today and each day it will get better yet. Hope all of you had a chance to spend some wonderful quality time with your families this weekend. And once I slow down just enough to sneak away to my little hide away I will post a fall card I have been working on for quite some time now!!!Enjoy.

Its Monday again.........

Well its Monday again, and my youngest daughter Ella is trying to figure out why her brother and sisters are no where to be found. We are having a difficult time with out the kids home. We, meaning myself and Ella, I find it hard not having my son Drew home because hes in first grade now. He was always my "little" helper. Ella just wants someone to play with. But we are getting by as you can see in the pictures she is trying to revert back to being a baby by putting herself to bed in her babies playpen, or just watching cartoons from it. So of course being the scrapbooker I am, I HAD to take some pictures to show her when she gets older and goes to school what she did when her brother and sisters went to school!!!
